for more detailed information. The Association Center is a lovely setting for receptions, parties and meetings of 110 people or less. The building is designed with the coastal cottage look of many of the homes on the Island, and is backed up to Bald Head Creek and the marsh. It is located next to the Chapel and on the same street as Old Baldy. Community Room The Community Room is over 1400 square feet and can accommodate anywhere from 22 to 165 people, depending on the set up. The two linked photos, Photo A and Photo B, show different views of the room, accentuating the many windows we have to provide a view of the natural environment. Click here to see the upholstered chairs and 6-foot rectangular tables that come with rental of the room. Photo C shows the room arranged for a wedding reception in one of the many possible set ups for the chairs and tables. The Community Room also has a balcony overlooking the main floor. The balcony provides more space for guests, or a place for additional tables, or an excellent position from which a bride can throw her bouquet! The Community Room has a food preparation area, which includes a refrigerator, sink, microwave, and counter space. There is no stove. There is a great deal of spacious front and back decking that comes with the use of the Community Room. The covered breezeway is ideal for buffets and cash bars, and we have had many groups utilize the back deck as a dance floor, complete with a DJ or band. It is also an excellent place to serve lunch to seminar attendees. Smaller Conference Rooms For smaller business meetings and gatherings, we have a conference room on the 1st level and on the 2nd level. We look forward to hosting your event!
